Application for Online Courses
Enrollment for 2012 classes occurs in two phases:
- Registration for 2012 Spring Semester courses (held January 1 - June 30, 2012) begins November 1, 2011.
- Registration for 2012 Fall Semester courses (held July 1 - December 31, 2012) begins May 1, 2012.
- Only electronic application submissions will be accepted for online courses. Printed versions of the electronic application received by mail, fax, or email will be disregarded with no notification to the applicant.
- The Spring Semester and Fall Semester course dates will be available on the electronic application on the beginning registration dates for the respective semesters.
- Students may register for Crisis Management, Crowd Management, or both classes in the same two-week time period - however, please remember that a separate application form is needed for each class. More detailed information is available on the admissions pages for online courses.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Timeframe for Coursework: While classes are scheduled in two-week increments, students will work at their own pace. It is possible to complete the coursework required for both classes in as few as three days, but the full two-week time period is available if needed. Though students will work at their own pace, they are expected to complete all assignments and to interact with the instructor. There will be live student/instructor interaction available every weekday of the course. Additional course-specific information will be sent to students upon successful registration into a class.
- Final Exam: All students taking CMES online courses are required to take the final exam at a Prometric Testing Center. After all coursework is completed, the student will be provided with the necessary information and authorization to schedule the final exam at a Prometric office location that is convenient to him or her. Testing MUST be scheduled and completed no later than 30 days from the date that CMES contacts the student with authorization to test at Prometric.
